When I started Columbia, I originally intended to lean more towards the art side of game development. After taking both Digital Image Design and Intro to Programming my first semester, I realized that I felt more comfortable writing code. I wanted to learn more about what it takes to be a game programmer.

My major and concentration says design and development, but I also like to identify myself as a programmer. I took my professor's advice and attended more advanced programming classes such as C++ (the main language used in design-related classes was C#) and Game AI. I learned various sorting and pathing algorithms, while improving and maintaining my knowledge in user experience.

I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor's in Game Design and a minor in Programming in 2017. I look forward to advancing myself in the video game industry and creating memorable experiences for the player.
